See MRR 2.44, 55. Not certainly a senator, as no higher office is recorded (Suolahti, Junior Officers 180, 374; rejected by Nicolet, Ordre equestre 585; cf. Wiseman, NM 241, no. 257). He had died before 70 (Cic. Of. 3.73-75; Verr. 2.1.115-166). See, however, Criniti, L’Epigrafe di Asculum 167-169 on L. Minuci(us) L. f. Vel., eques in the consilium of Pompeius Strabo, and on the difficulty of identifying the legatus and tr. Mil. under Sulla (RE no. 37, 87 and 86 B.C.) with the rich L.
