MINU2227 -. Minucius? (60) Thermus

Career

  • Praetor? before 66 (Broughton MRR II) Expand
    • A candidate for the consulship of 64 (Cic. Att. 1.1.2; cf. Flacc. 98, on his name). (Broughton MRR II)
    • Pr.? 67? On his name and identity, see Shackleton Bailey, CLA 1.292, on Att. 1.1.2. Against Münzer (RE), he favors Drumann's view that while he was a candidate he was adopted by a Marcius Figulus and is the C. Marcius C. f. Figulus who became consul in 64 (see Marcius, RE no.63, above). This would explain the notice Caesare et Turmo in the Chronographer of 354. See also E. W. Gray, Antichthon 13, 1979, 56-65. (Broughton MRR III)
    • p. 749, footnote 323 (Brennan 2000)
