Quaestor 63, Tr. pl. 57. In MRR 2.168, 202, and Index, 564, delete the cognomen Gallus, mistakenly added to the superscription in Cic. Fam. 7.27. See Syme, Historia 13, 1964, 116-RP 2.594; Wiseman, NM 230, no. 169; Shackleton Bailey, CR 12, 1962, 195-196. Cicero's reference in Fam. 5.18 to achievement on the part of Fadius beyond that of many homines novi implies that he may have advanced to higher office before his conviction in court (Shackleton Bailey, CLF 1.350).
