    • Caesar sent them to Ariovistus who made them prisoners. They were freed by Caesar’s victory (Caes. BG 1.47.4-6, and 53.5-8). (Broughton MRR II)
  • Monetalis 44 (RRC) Expand
    • Monetalis, probably IIIIvir. See MRR 2.198, 446. Dated to 44 also by Crawford (RRC 1.487-495, no. 480). Perhaps the M. Metius (Maecius?) sent by Caesar to parley with Ariovistus (BG 1.47 and 53). (Broughton MRR III)
