See MRR 2.246 and 359. As Shackleton Bailey points out, there is little evidence for identifying the praefectus fabrum of Ap. Claudius in 51 with the tr. pl. desig. for 42 (Cic. Ad Brut. 1.1; CQF/MB 238, ad loc.). Perhaps the Clodius Bithynicus who was in the following of L. Antonius at Perusia (App. BC 5.49).
