A Legate (or perhaps a Quaestor) under Marcius Philippus in Cilicia in 47-46 (Cic. Fam. 13.43, Quinto Gallo, and 44, Gallio, Gallo; see Syme, Anatol. Stud. Buckler 315-317). (Broughton MRR II)
Quaestor or legate in Cilicia 47-46, named in the headings of two letters of Cicero (Fam. 13.43 and 44). According to Shackleton Bailey (Studies 62-63), In the first letter the mss are divided between Quintio Gallio and Quinto Gallo, in the second they all have simply Gallio. He grants that the heading favored by Münzer and Gundel in RE, Quintio Gallo and Gallo, may be right, thus giving the name Quin(c)tius (49), but a praenomen is required. If the right heading is Q. Gallio, he may be identified with the praetor who was demoted and condemned to death by Octavian in 43 (MRR 2.338). See Syme, Anat. Stud. Buckler 315; Shackleton Bailey, Studies 52-63; cf. CLF 1.269, 270.[98x] (Broughton MRR III)

Perhaps Praetor Peregrinus (#, App. BC 3.95; and see above, on Cornutus). He asked Octavian for command of Africa, but plotted against him and was stripped of his praetorship and condemned to death (Suet. Aug. 27.4, with a quotation from the Memoirs of Augustus; App. BC 3.95). See 44, Praetors, on M. Galliui3, and cf. Cic. Phil. 13.26. (Broughton MRR II)
