    • Caesar placed him in charge of Ruspina (Bell. Afr. 10.1; see above, on C. Saserna). (Broughton MRR II)
    • Cicero implies that there were three Sasernae of about the same age in this period (Phil. 13.28), but only two were senators in 43. The tribune of the plebs in 44 (MRR 2.324) was more probably C. or P., as these were officers under Caesar in 46 (2.301). In MRR 2.324, delete the phrase 'or L'. (TJC) (Broughton MRR III)
