One of the conspirators against Caesar, who served as a Legate under Brutus at Philippi, and compelled his slaves to kill him after the battle (Plut. Brut. 51, cf. 12; App. BC 4.135). (Broughton MRR II)
Legatus under Brutus in 42 (Plut. Brut. 51.2, Labeo; cf. 12.3, Labeo; App. BC 4.135, Labeo). In Gellius his name is given as Pacuvius Labeo (NA 5.21.10), which Badian (Salmon Studies 152-153) and Shackleton Bailey (Studies 103) accept as the proper form of his name: his son, M. Antistius Labeo, the jurist, had been adopted by an Antistius.
