- In MRR 2.411, Promagistrates, add: if he was Pollio's older brother his praenomen should be Cn. For the cognomen, see Catullus 12.1; Wiseman, NM 215, no. 49. Cn. Asinius Cn. f. (Arn.?) (12), named in the SC de Aphrodisiensibus, may well be Marrucinus, who since he was proconsul of Asia ca. 34, was very probably a praetor before then and a senator by 39 (J. M. Reynolds, Aphrodisias and Rome 57, 69). Cf. Badian, ZPE 55, 1984, 107-109: Marrucinus may not be a cognomen. (Broughton MRR III)

- M. Grant (From Imperium to Auctoritas 394) and Groag (PIR² 1.246, lines 27-30, on 1229) suggest that the Proconsul named on a coin of Adramyttium of Asia (not Atarneus; cf. B.M.Cat., Mysia 101) was Asinius Marrucinus, and Grant suggests this date. (Broughton MRR II)
