C. Cornelius M. f. Ste. (17). L. Cornelius M. f. Rom. (30). A combination of praenomina favored by the Cornelii Cethegi. One of these senators of 129 (see Sherk, RDGE no. 12, pp. 63-73), more probably the former because of his apparently praetorian rank, was probably the son of Cn. Cornelius Cethegus (93). Cos. 160, but the difference of tribe excludes the other. An L. Cornelius might be a Sisenna, but the praenomen M. is not attested among them. (LRT) On the date, see above, on M'. Aquillius (10).
