Senator ca. 170. The master and, at least after 166, patron of the playwright, P. Terentius Afer, is described as a senator in Suet. Vit. Ter. 1. Crawford admits the possibility that he was the monetalis C. Ter(entius) Luc(anus) (56) (MRR 2.453), whom he dates to 147 (RRC 1.256, no. 217), but favors considering the monetalis to be a son of the senator. See Wiseman, CQ 14, 1964, 125, esp. note 4.
