He is named as praetor (#) or praetorian governor on a statue base found at Calymnos along with a base bearing the name of P. Servilius P. f. proconsul #) (AEpig. 1940, no. 129; Ann. d. Scuola Arch. di Atene 22/23, 1952, 158ff., nos. 130, A, C, D, E, above the name of Servilius in D). The date remains uncertain, but the praenomen distinguishes him from M. the praetor of 51. (RS, MS-RP 1.282) Crawford, RRC 1.372, no. 358, suggests that he may be the moneyer Laterensis (see below). (Broughton MRR III)
